🏀 Basketball is Back at Penrith Valley!

After months of uncertainty, basketball is officially returning to the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre (PVRSC) — with a new approach, new energy, and a clear commitment to putting the community first.

We heard you — the community wanted lower game fees and a fairer, more transparent model.
    We completely agree.

That’s why we’ve supported the creation of a new basketball association, working in partnership with the PVRSC. Theres a bunch of experienced people who have come together to bring this to life and who approached the PVRSC to deliver basketball competitions to the community. We have created a new name for this joint venture, and we are known as Nepean Valley Basketball! We are representing the city of Penrith and the wider region of the Nepean Valley!

This was the only realistic and sustainable way to keep costs affordable while ensuring that every dollar raised stays here, supporting the maintenance and improvement of this great community facility — the true home of basketball in Penrith.

This is basketball built the right way — transparent, affordable, and community-driven.

    💻 Our Temporary Home Online

This website is our temporary page while we get everything officially launched.
The logo you see now is also temporary — we’ll soon be asking the community to vote on the best name for our new mascot!

    You’ll soon be able to:

    • 🏀 Register your team or join as a player
    • 🧾 Nominate and pay online
    • 📅 Check fixtures and results
    • 🤝 Manage everything from one place

Work has already started behind the scenes to build a modern and easy-to-use online system for everyone.

⚖️ For Our Referees and Officials

Referees are the heartbeat of our competitions.
We’ll soon have a dedicated online area where you can:

    • Submit your availability
    • Access training and development pathways
    • Be assigned to games and events

We want to make refereeing rewarding, respected, and a big part of rebuilding basketball in Penrith.

    🌱 Building for the Future

We know that, right at the start, we may not have every development pathway in place — but if you trust us, we will work hard to make this a reality.

This is the beginning of something new — a fresh start that brings basketball home, supports our venue, and rebuilds the pathways for future players, referees, and coaches.

👉 Expressions of Interest are now open for players, referees, volunteers, and support staff.

Together, we’ll bring basketball back — stronger, fairer, and with every game supporting the facility that serves us all.
